Someone said the entire flower of Paradise Valley has that look of pre-dawn light. One could not find two colors more conducive to paradise: pristine white and peach pink with tawny hafts. In 1966, Jean Stevens of New Zealand made history, introducing the first pink amoena (white standards, pinkish falls), Sunset Snows. The 50 years since have seen remarkable progress in this class - larger flowers, taller stalks, and deeper colors. Contrast is near total between the blinding white standards and the pinkish falls. Lovely pink venations add to the enchantment of the wide, creamy median.
